Peace89 Berlin Wall Anniversary

So back in 1987 US President Ronald Reagan made a declaration to “Tear Down This Wall“. You can watch the full speech below (infamous line starts at 11:58) It officially took a couple of more years to tear the wall down.

On November 9, 1989 the Berlin Wall demolition began with citizens taking hand tools and chipping off souvenir pieces of the wall; by 1990 it was being actively demolished. So this opening of the wall in 1989 was what many believed to have been peace, and the beginning of the fall of the iron curtain. Apparently for this Toyota Solara driver the achievement of “peace” in 1989 really stuck out for them so much that they also had to acquire a vanity license plate for it.

So while it isn’t the most overtly political vanity license plate we’ve found, it does have some political undertones. So we’ve added to our easy to find collection. Go ahead and take a look at the others in the collection we’ve found.
