DCK 247 Accidental Vanity Plate
Did you hear about the Michigan woman who got an accidental personalized vanity license plate DCK 247, is it Duck 24-7, or you know…check it out and you decide.
Most of the time when a Michigan driver strolls into the Michigan Secretary of State and new license plates are given you don’t end up with epic tags that become on par with urban legend status. Yet that is exactly what happened with the West Michigan news anchor Anchor Lynsey Mukomel. However you have to give it to her for having a good sense of humor for her accidental vanity license plate. It could be Duck 24-7, or well…you know.
Do I have a fun story for your Friday scrolling!
Isn’t this a beautiful plate? I love it so much that I splurged the $5 to buy a new one when I renewed with @MichSoS a few weeks ago. (Like a responsible adult, BEFORE my birthday!) pic.twitter.com/O0pa2pNAkD

Side note: did you know how easy it is to schedule an appointment online? It took me three seconds this morning. Seriously convenient. pic.twitter.com/JVTh3bfDUB

If you’re thinking, “What are the chances?!” between cackling and crying, I’ll take that question of probability and raise you this:
The SOS employee who helped me correct this unfortunate situation recognized we share the SAME BIRTHDAY!

Lynsey even got to tour the manufacturing location for the Michigan license plate factory, and they made a replica of the infamous vanity license plate. A group of inmates (much like every pun regarding prison labor) at the Gus Harrison Correctional Facility near Adrian, Michigan is responsible for every license plate in the state of Michigan.
Check out the video of the tour.
#ICYMI: This all ended with a trip to Adrian to see how Michigan license plates are made. And, yes, the folks at @MichiganDOC kindly let me reprint what’s now my new desk decor. @WOODTV https://t.co/lJ0HMPaypo pic.twitter.com/ZJ84cnmJ8z
