Personalized Rivian R1T vanity license plate idea: HATRIK

By the law of numbers we have finally found an opportunity to photograph our first Rivian R1S in the wild with a personalized Michigan vanity plate which is translated to be Hat Trick.

The R1S is effectively the first “full sized” electric SUV on the market. Only to be dwarfed in just about every way by the GMC Hummer SUV EV.

So what is a Hat Trick anyway?

A hat trick is a term used in various sports to describe the achievement of a positive feat three times in a match or game. For example, in soccer, a hat trick occurs when a player scores three goals in a single game. The origin of the term comes from cricket, where a bowler named H.H. Stephenson took three wickets with three consecutive deliveries in 1858. As a reward, he was presented with a hat bought with the money collected from the spectators. ⁴⁵

The term hat trick became popular in other sports over time, such as hockey, rugby, and water polo. In some sports, there are variations of the term, such as a perfect hat trick, which means scoring with the right foot, left foot, and head in soccer, or a natural hat trick, which means scoring three consecutive goals without any interruptions in hockey. ⁵

A hat trick is considered a rare and impressive feat in most sports, and it often earns the player special recognition or rewards. For instance, in hockey, it is a tradition for fans to throw their hats onto the ice when a player scores a hat trick. In some leagues, the player who scores a hat trick is allowed to keep the match ball as a souvenir. ⁵
