CHRYBOM farewell Chevrolet Sonics, RIP
Maybe you didn’t hear because of all of the hype surrounding the launch of the New Bronco, and Bronco Sport, but General Motors announced the death of the Sonic in July of this year.
Wait why would they kill off the the Sonic? I thought tons of college students used those? Well Chevrolet sold 13,971 units in 2019, compared to 55,255 in 2016. So it’s death has been some time in the making. Given that Chevrolet killed off almost all of their passenger cars a couple of years ago now, it is very surprising that this didn’t get killed off sooner.
So now that we are closer to the end of the line, we want to send one of the Detroit 3’s smallest cars off with a bang, and how better to do this than with a Cherry Bomb.
So with the last of the Sonic’s we salute its death with the only vanity license plate we recall spotting on a Chevrolet Sonic, CHRYBOM, or well Cherry Bomb.
